Is it learned autism?
Lately I have been asking this question again and again. Did childhood events shape my mind into an autist-like state?
A friend linked me to a case in which experts confuse autistic kids with traumatized kids and vice versa (to say nothing about traumatized autistic kids).
One has to wonder what happens to those traumatized kids later in life, left to their own with no treatment. Do they keep those attributes mistaken for autism? "Repetitive play." "Avoiding others." "Violent outburts." Do they develop social skills on the level of the fully human? Is there such a thing as learned autism?
